10 Jul Martial Eagle Breeding Season Approaches!

Here at Elite Falconry, we are very privileged to have a pair of beautiful Martial Eagles.

These magnificent birds breed in the African summer, meaning that they approach the start of their breeding season just as all the other birds are finishing.

With this in mind, after noticing some nest building and breeding behaviour, we decided to clip the birds beaks and talons, and clean their aviary today, ready for their courtship to begin in the coming weeks. These birds will now be left in peace and quiet for anything up to the next nine months in a full daylight seclusion aviary. This will be a very exiting time as these birds are rare and difficult to breed in captivity. We hope very much to produce a youngster to add to our diverse flying team next year.
